A Luv Story

A hapless lonely couple met and wed
Each thinking they'd deceived to make the catch
So desperate to share the other's bed,
They faked their ways to seem each other's match.

The years went by, the guilt each felt increased
For hiding who they were to keep their love.
Their yearnings for true sharing never ceased,
As pretense wrapped the blocks they built life of.

Until disaster struck: they lost it all,
With nothing left in life to lose or hide.
'Twas then they each responded to the call
Of conscience to, with humble shame, confide.

That night, the joy they found in love revealed
Left them more rich than ever, fully healed.
